| Hertsmere Community Partnership is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee which advocates for the needs of specific groups of people, empowers community action through developing the capacity and skills of community groups and enables all individuals to participate more fully in society.
Hertsmere Community Partnership is a development trust (DTA member) with its commitment to community development underpinned by a sustainable business plan informed by enterprise.
Hertsmere Community Partnership provides its services to the community through projects and areas of service delivery. Each of these is influenced by an advisory group which includes members of the local community:
• Hertsmere Community Development Service – includes the one-stop access Community Shop in Borehamwood for local residents
• Early Years and Young People - a brokerage between young people and a wide range of service providers (including statutory agencies)
• Equal Opportunities and Access – successfully created the Comm.Unity Choir and the Braille Project
Hertsmere Community Partnership is currently delivering the DfES-sponsored Extended Schools project for Hertsmere and HCP staff are active contributors to a wide range of forums and partnerships.
Hertsmere Community Partnership was created from the earlier successful Borehamwood Community Partnership funded from the Single Regeneration Budget from 1998-2005.
